Cops Charge Rapper With Killing Of Two Friends, Then Claiming They Were Victims Of A ‘Drive By’


The 19-year old accused cold-blooded killer continued posting on social media the night of the murders, as well as asked followers to ‘send prayers’ for his victims three days after they died.

Rapper YNW Melly, 19, was arrested on Wednesday in Miramar and charged with the killings of two life-long friends last October, then claiming their deaths were the result of a drive-by shooting.

YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, was charged with first-degree murder in October deaths of 19-year-old Christopher Thomas Jr. and 21-year-old Anthony Williams, according to

Investigators said the victims were killed early in the morning of Oct. 26 and driven in a Jeep Compass to the emergency room entrance of Memorial Hospital Miramar, which is 20 miles (32 kilometers) west of Fort Lauderdale. Both were dead of multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

In a news release, Miramar police said Demons shot the men, who were his lifelong friends, and Henry drove the vehicle to the hospital. According to investigators, Demons and Henry staged the Jeep to make it appear as though the victims died in a drive-by shooting.

In an Instagram post to his fans earlier this week, the accused killer told his fans that he was turning himself in.
