MIRAMAR, FL—City Commissioner-Candidate Alexandra Davis, a longtime Miramar politician, says that a former supporter and fundraiser has turned against her because she turned down his amorous advances, according to the Miami Times.

From the time she entered Miramar’s political scene, former Hialeah police officer-turned-political operative and campaign supporter Glenn Rice says that he has been Davis’ number one supporter.

However, that has since changed, after Rice hosted a fundraiser for Davis at his home last June.

Since then, according to the Miami Times, Davis has accepted campaign contributions from a law firm’s PAC. That firm has also represented real estate developer Lennar–which is building 385 single-family homes in Miramar.

That project has been strongly opposed by residents.

Rice and others have asked for campaign contributions back and Rice even went so far as to sue Davis for a refund—although he has since dropped the suit.

Davis, however, says that Rice is “just bitter because she does not share his romantic ardor.”

“He thinks because he threw me a fundraiser at his million-dollar home then I would want to sleep with him,” she said.

Rice told the Miami Times that he has no romantic or sexual interest in Davis.
