Even Fred Flintstone is not above the law in Florida.

Some may remember that time, last November, when Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies pulled Fred Flintstone over for speeding in a residential neighborhood.

Here’s how the incident was described:

“On Sunday, November 4, Deputy H. Echevarria pulled over a Mr. Fred Flinstone (AKA Don Swartz) for speeding in the Meadow Bedrock Pointe Subdivision in Wesley Chapel.”

“Mr. Flinstone was issued a citation for speed and became unruly and had to be detained. After further investigation, Mr. Flinstone was issued a Notice To Appear and released.”

“Deputy Echevarria then seized the vehicle which is now part of the PSO fleet. This is what Intelligence-Led Policing looked like in the stone age.

A very special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Don and Trina Swartz for being such great sports… Yabba Dabba Doo!”

Although sheriff’s deputies did not indicate the speed the suspect was traveling, it is apparent in the photos that Mr. Flintstone was also driving without shoes which, although it may not be illegal, could be rather offensive.
